You know that amazing feeling you get when you use essential oils and you see or feel that they have made a difference, it’s a pretty exciting feeling! Using essential oils and seeing those results is something that I think comes with time and confidence, trying a few different oils, making blends, using them both topically or aromatically until you feel comfortable with them. I don’t share huge amounts about the essential oils we use in our home, but maybe with the uplifting feeling of Spring I may just add a few blogs about how we do use the. The results truly blow me away every time.
I have selected three oils that I am enjoying at present, I don’t know if it’s just that the weather has changed and the warmth of Spring is here, or that we are finally nearly able to move into our new home but I have definitely felt a shift in myself since I have been using these oils over the past couple of weeks.
The first oil is from the Kids Collection, I bought these earlier this year and they are an amazing collection of oil blends that are diluted for children. Both my children use these rollers from time to time, they were especially handy when Alex was transitioning back into his new school after our level 4 and 3 lockdowns.
The Kids Collection is not only for children, it’s perfectly suitable for adults to use as well, so one day while smelling the oils with my children I tried on the Thinker Blend and I am absolutely loving it, funnily enough it’s the subtle peppermint that comes through that is my favourite part, usually peppermint is an oil that I can get irritated by quite quickly. I do believe that when our body is needing some support we will choose the oil that it needs. Once our bodies have enough of that support, then we won’t feel the pull of that oil as much.
Thinker blend is a blend of Vetiver, Peppermint, Clementine and Rosemary. (It’s beneficial for helping individuals to cut through distractions, learning to recognise the difference between knowledge that builds them up and knowledge that is actually tearing them down) Quoted from the Essential Emotions book.. This seems to be on the mark, I have had some quite deep thoughts after watching the Social Dilemma Documentary on Netflix recently. It’s made me quite aware of what social media has created and do I still want to be apart of that. But that is for another blog post!
Next up are two oils that I was able to get Free with my Loyalty Awards this month. My mum and I had quite a collection of points that we decided to use.
Because we are moving into our new home at the end of the month I wanted to have some oils that helped with the transition of moving and space clearing of the house. Purify is a space cleanser so I will diffuse this is my diffuser before we move in, to clear any negative or stagnant energy that could be sitting around after the process of the sale. If you have ever bought and sold a home, you will understand that there is quite a lot of emotion that goes with the process, so clearing out all that hugeebugee (Yes I made that word up, but you know what I mean), is definitely something I do.
Purify is a blend of Lemon, Siberian Fir, Citronella, Lime, Melaleuca (Tea Tree) and Cilantro.
Lastly I will share Zendocrine, this oil smells divine and is a blend of Tangerine, Rosemary, Geranium, Juniper Berry and Cilantro. This is another oil that is to help with transitions and also an oil that detoxes old habits and opens you up for new beginnings I thought this was a good oil to have available for us as we embark on our new life, moving from winter to springtime and all the excitement of doing some renovations to our new home as well. (Hey maybe I will blog about that too)
Above I quoted a paragraph from the Essential Emotions book, this book has so much information of how oils help with emotions, it has details of each oil that is currently released by doTERRA and the blends which makes it pretty special. I have the 8th Edition which you can purchase locally online, but I also saw that the 9th edition is going to be released shortly too. Essential Emotions also have an app that you can download.

Happy Spring days!
